Capabilities
GTS is a company of 30 plus employees, covering the Bendigo, Echuca and Wallan regions and beyond.
GTS has 5 main interrelated areas of specialisation, with individual experts in: residential soil testing, construction material testing, geotechnical drilling, geotechnical consulting and environmental consulting.

GTS offers a range of soil testing, construction materials testing, geotechnical and environmental consulting services covering the Bendigo, Echuca and Wallan regions.
Our History
| 1960s | A geotechnical testing service was first established in the 1960s as part of The Bendigo School of Mines (later to become LaTrobe University). |
| 2003 | In 2003, the university choose to no longer operate the laboratory and a tender was put out. John & Norn, technicians at the university, purchased the business. There were 3 employees total. The company was called Goldfields Testing Services. |
| 2004 | Geotechnical Testing Services Pty Ltd was formed to reflect the growth of the company. The head office was still located at the university. |
| 2007 | Echuca laboratory opened. |
| 2014 | John Boykett sold off the Victoria side of the business to Carl Bailey. About 20 employees worked at the business at this time. John continued on with his Queensland laboratories (separate business). |
| 2020 | GTS Bendigo grew too big for the University and moved out to its current purpose-built facility at East Bendigo. |
| 2024 | Wallan laboratory opened. |
Our People
GTS employs 30 plus people across its Bendigo, Echuca and Wallan laboratories. This includes specialised teams and experts in the areas of: residential soil testing, construction materials testing, drilling, geotechnical consulting and environmental consulting.
